Food Options

In the ancient times when the mobility was low, people had fewer options to choose their diet patterns. Regional factors such as arable land, climate, vegetation, etc. determined the diet patterns. But the world has galloped a lot ahead and individuals now have the choice to decide their meals.

In my view the human anatomy supports the vegetarian diet more.

All flesh eating animals (carnivores) have short intestines, because the animal meat they feed on is prone to fast decay and rottening and hence is required to pass through a short processing zone and expelled out of the system quickly . On the contrary, all the herbivorous animals have long intestines, as the food they eat does not rot or get toxic early. The human intestines are not short and hence support the vegetarian diet more as compared to the diets based on animal meat.

When an animal is slaughtered, it petrifies and out of fear its internal glands start generating and secreting a substance, which makes its flesh toxic to some extent. It may be a different kind of reason to support vegetarianism.

Some people have the misplaced notion that the vegetarian diet is not complete in itself. Various research studies have now proved that the vegetarians are more likely to lead a healthy and probably longer life.

Any comments

Your article is interesting and you are right in many aspects, but I will never be a vegetarian because that implies many restrictions. I will let others to live longer. Are you vegetarian?
